Vlogging becomes one of my hobby every time we travel, we share stories about our lifestyle, we help other to do such things, we share our hidden talents or we become crazy at the cameras! According to Mr. Google, “Vlog” is a personal website or social media account where a person regularly posts short videos. Which from my theory, It is also comes from the word “Blogging”, the only difference is how will the content be shown (A video form, a picture or paragraph form)
Freedom is one word to describe vlogging, it enables you to open up different ideas to the audience, share your respectful thoughts and be creative to it. Without further do (a very popular lines that a vlogger basically says- HAHAHA!) Let’s get right into the topic!
I started my Youtube channel a long time a ago. not really active but happy to view videos from different individuals that I love the most like Liza Koshy, Wil Dasovich, Zoella’s Vlogmas, and etc.
I am literally just a viewer, until I inspired of making my own video cuz’ why not! You can browse for many many ways to start a vlog, but in here, I will show you my personal advice.
1. CONTENT – It is important to choose the content of your videos. Pwede naman siyang maging Travel Vlog, MakeUp Vlog, Fashion, Music or covers…. nahhh! I can’t say it all here because Promise. There’s a lot you can do. Make sure that the content in your video will be suitable to all viewers, as possible no foul words, no SPGs please! Think of the endless possibilities to your vlog, that will be beneficial to others and can be informative. Be free to do what you want.
2. YOUTUBE CHANNEL – Do not miss this thing because this will give a big impact to your viewers. Put on a good username, a high quality header and icon. Make your description very catchy and playful. Do not forget to monetize (just in case na magboom agad yung videos mo, para payback ka agad). Make yourself ready before starting your youtube channel. This one demands : time, effort, passion, heart, sometimes a humor and creativity.
3. CAMERA – This is not so necessary when you are starting a channel. As a student, I was using my Iphone6 built-in camera because I don’t have enough money yet to buy a vlogging cam. But as I googled and ask for my vlogger friends which camera is the best for videos, very handy, user friendly, high quality camera and as I gathered information, These are the cameras they recommend:

4. USE PHOTOS OR VIDEOS THAT YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO USE – Do your best to create content that you can says it’s yours 100%. For the thumbnail, I typically take screenshots from the video I will upload, the highlighted scene or the most relevant one. have a little time to record or capture your thumbnail. to make sure we stay away from plagiarism. For the Background music. You can download mp3 that is non copyrighted at Youtube by searching
or something that will really catch your attention and suits to your content.
5. DO THE EDITING – This one is really depends on what available devices you have. Since I’ve got my Iphone6, Imovie is the only editor that fascinates me and makes my life easier! And when you have an available Laptop, you can now install,and use what the video editors mostly use. Such as Adobe Premiere (mas latest version , mas pak!),Final Cut Pro and nakooo andami pa! In Editing, free yourself for editing such amazing raw videos, wag mahiyang ipakita ang creativity mo sa part nato. I also recommend na during Vlog mo,imagine the way your edit will look like and how the sequence will go. Para sa editing time mo, it’ll be so much easier! swear! It helps me a lot guuurl!
6. CREATE ATTRACTIVE VIDEOS – High Quality is the key, the content is also the key and of course in this point, Learn how to market your vlog, do some research on who will be your target audience and then focus on it. Make sure that everything you do this it will be attractive and sometime putting on different strategies to gain many subscribers. Put on an amazing Title to your video and Please avoid Clickbait if you don’t want people to hate you. Edit a good thumbnail and be possitive aas always because it really inspire other poeple.
7. ENJOY AND HAVE FUN! – Ayaw ko na madami point kasi Vlogging is’nt really hard to do,specially if this is not will be a business.. Vlogging is a stress realivers and I am so happy to see myself watched by other girls and grateful that I inspirethem as well kahit naba very cute size lang ang subscribers ko.
Those are some Points to remember before creating your own channel, Disclaimer that I am not a vlogging expert and I do not own a channel with thousand followesrs, It’s just based on my own experience and own mistakes that I don’t want to happen to other.
